This annual competition has been a fixture on the Limpopo calendar for more than 10 years and when speaking on behalf of the Miss Limpopo trust, Rene Kidd said their mission is not only to empower the young women of Limpopo, but to reveal the wonderful potential that the young women of the Province possess
“We hope to give back to the community some of the most outstanding ambassadors of our Province and allow them to explore all the incredible opportunities that are available to the women of the world today” she said.

The new Miss Limpopo will be crowned during a spectacular ceremony at Bolivia Lodge, on 4 December 2010 and to all young women that are interested in entering the competition, entry forms are available at Face to Face International Beauty & Make up Design School, House of Asanté Health Spa at 29 Jorissen street, House of Asanté Hair Salon in Library Gardens, Limpopo online (Selecom), Jacaranda RMFM and Bolivia Lodge.
According to Rene, the Miss Limpopo winner and princesses that meet the miss SA criteria are automatically fast tracked to the Miss SA semi-finals and rules of Miss SA pageant are applicable to all Miss Limpopo entrants and entries closes on 1 October 2010.
The Miss Limpopo Teen and Miss Limpopo Pageant is a unique youth development programme that has been running for over ten years now, and is a much sought after high profile event on the Provincial calendar.
The Miss Limpopo youth development project seeks to make a contribution towards nation building through programmes that inculcate the spirit of responsibility, accountability, selfless giving, as well as inspire the youth to achieve and make a difference in the community.
“Our theme for this year “One Planet One Life” and is meant to raise awareness to the need for preservation of our elements, and thereby maintain better life for posterity and what better time to conciountise the youth about global warming and the necessity for taking care of the environment” she said.
