Limpopo to celebrate Mandela Day |

Leading by example; Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale is expected to paint 67 houses for Mandela day on Sunday at Ga Molepo
After it has been declared as Nelson Mandela Day, July 18th (Sunday) ,the whole
country will be embarking on a 67 minutes of their time doing community service
and Limpopo also has a plan for the former President.
The provincial government and other private companies throughout the province have planned various activities to join the rest of the country in celebrating the birthday of the former President and doing community services.
Limpopo Premier, Cassel Mathale and the MEC for Local Government and Housing, Soviet Lekganyane will lead stakeholders in getting their hands dirty by participating in construction.
They will spent their 67 minutes at Ga-Molepo, Tshebela Village building, painting and beatifying 67 homes, for 67 families while 30 employees Limpopo Tourism and Parks will devote their time to paint the Bona-ba-Thari Special School for the intellectually impaired at Solomondale Township.
On the other hand, the MEC for Public Works, George Phadagi will lead a team at Tshisaulu clinic in the Thulamela local municipality of the Vhembe district.
The team will give the Tshisaulu clinic a face-lift by repainting it and ramps for the disabled will also be added to the clinic to make it even more user friendly.
The department`s districts of Waterberg, Mopani and Sekhukhune will put aside 67 minutes at various venues to celebrate former president Mandela`s 67 days of sacrifices.
At Modimolle municipality (Waterberg district), the employees will painting the walls of Phagameng clinic while in Giyani municipality (Mopani district), the employees will also paint the walls of Sukane School whereas, in Fetakgomo (Sekhukhune), the devoted employees will join the masses by painting the walls and fixing the roofs of Motlolo clinic.
July 18th has been declared Nelson Mandela Day and it is a day on which
South Africans and people around the globe are
encouraged to live up to the legacy of Nelson Mandela by dedicating 67 minutes of their time for community service
